Growing up in East Texas (Sulphur Springs) I have always been around farming and cows. Dairy farming was a part of my grandfathers and uncle’s livelihood for over 25 years.
After college at Abilene Christian University, I was fortunate to move and live in Roscoe Texas where I worked on a small 350 cow calf operation. It was then that I began going back to schools to learn AI, Palpation and ultrasound. Reproduction and genetics became very interesting to me. Using Lowline semen and full blood angus we wanted to reach a moderate frame cow that could excel in the grass feed industry.
I later became interested in IVF. Where I learned to aspirate and work with embryos. My wife Tecka has been in administration for the past 8 years and in the public school system for more than 20 years. We both have always been a part of the Agriculture industry throughout our lives.
